Terms and Conditions 

Regular domestic cleaning  

 
 

General 

  1. Essex Specialist Cleaning have a minimum Slot of £44 
  2. If estimates are being provided, these are only an estimate based on the average time it takes to clean a home of a similar size to the clients. A degree of flexibility may be required to complete clean.  
  3. Essex Specialist Cleaning will provide all cleaning products including hoover and mop (unless discussed otherwise)  
  4. Essex Specialist Cleaning will not be responsible for triggering an alarm system. The Client should give any special instructions for deactivation/activation of any household alarms. 
  5. Essex Specialist Cleaning reserves the right to not continue with the job on inspection, if it is found that the material to be cleaned or treated is not suitable for cleaning or treatment.  
  6. Essex Specialist Cleaning cleaners will not continue with a job. For example, water or power is not available or if there is interference to working environment from the client or any other person. 

Payments 

  1. Payments to be only discussed with either Justine Mcintyre or Sarah Humphreys. 
  2. Payment is requested on completion on the day of cleaning. 
  3. Payment can be made in cash on the day, or via bank transfer (bank account details will be provided on the invoice) or via cheque. 
  4. If payment is not made after 7 days of invoice, then Essex Specialist Cleaning has the right to not attend future cleans until payments are paid to date. 
  5. If repeat late payment occurs, then the client will be asked to prepay if they wish to continue with their slot. 
  6. All payments are to be made in Great British Pounds. 
  7. Essex Specialist Cleaning will take further action to recover invoice payments that have not been made. 

Complaints 

  1. Client accepts and understands that poor service, breakage/damages must be reported within 12 hours from the service date. Failure to do so will result in no liability for breakage/damages or a recovery cleaning. We do not offer refunds. 
  2. Key replacement / locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost by Essex Specialist Cleaning. 
  3. Essex Specialist Cleaning reserves the right not to be responsible for: Job not complete due to lack of hot water or power, Equipment not being in full working order that has been provided by the client, or a third party entering or present at the client's premises obstructing the cleaning process. 

Insurance 

  1. Essex Specialist Cleaning has public liability insurance. The policy will cover accidental damages caused by a Essex Specialist Cleaner that has been reported within 12 hours of cleaning slot. 
  2. Insurance cover does not include anything that may break down or stop working at any time such as: dishwasher, washing machine, oven, cookers, extractor fans, fridge, freezer etc.  
  3. The client is obliged to warn Essex Specialist Cleaning cleaners about appliances that are poorly fixed or not in full working order. E.g., Blinds not fitted securely, taps not working, unstable shelving.  

Cancellation 

  1. Essex Specialist Cleaning will charge a cancellation fee of the full amount due if notice is less than 24 hours.  
  2. If cleans are cancelled on a regular occurrence, then Essex Specialist Cleaning has the right to terminate your cleaning slot. 
  3. If we do not hold a key for your property and we cannot enter on the time agreed for your clean, (for example. no one home, key not left in a safe space) then full payment will still be due. 
  4. If a Essex Specialist Cleaning cleaner is unable to attend for any reason, we will do our best to send a replacement cleaner or offer a different slot in the week to complete the clean. 

Miscellaneous 

  1. If you request us to not do an area we usually do, or if a room is inaccessible with less than 24 hours notice,  your usual price will still be the same.  
  2. If you are having building work, please let us know in advance and we can discuss either doing other areas if safe to do so or reschedule cleans for when the work has ended.  (It’s advised to have a deep clean after to be able to maintain going forward).  

Photographs 

  1. We like to take some photographs from our cleans to use for advertising and on our social media platforms. All photos will be cropped or blurred to remove personal images (eg family photos, names etc) 
  2. If you DO NOT want us to use images from your home, then please let us know in writing when you confirm you are happy with our terms and conditions. 
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
    These terms and conditions shall be governed by the relevant UK Law, and by agreeing to them the client agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts of the UK. Essex Specialist Cleaning reserve the right to make any changes to any part of these terms and conditions without giving any prior notice.
